Gemma

Synopsis

Gemma is about a young woman (born physically disabled) who is frightened of making decisions and their potential consequences. So, she leads a very ordered and lonely life but still dreams of meeting her soulmate somehow. But an unexpected event could change her life forever…

Director's Statement

I made this film to promote the fact that it is possible for disabled people to overcome their obstacles whether they are physical or emotional. I also wanted to show that everyone, (whether they are able bodied or disabled) have romantic desires and want to be loved and find their soulmate in life. Lastly, I wanted my film to be quirky and light-hearted but also entertaining and promote inclusiveness and highlight that physical disability is irrelevant when it comes to attraction.
